The What Horrors Lie In Wait Roleplaying Game helps bring your wildest dreams, and worst nightmares, to life! This game focuses on all manners of Horror – from the known to the unknown, the ones within to the ones beyond space and time, and even beings outside of our mortal comprehension. Within the pages of the Survival Guide lies the foundation of tense, nerve-racking, traditional Horror, the campy and adventurous Pulp Horror, and everything in between.
You’ll find It’s through the use of the Survival Guide, combined with the imagination of both players and the person tasked with overseeing their fate, that these stories take shape. Use as little or as much of the lore, rules, and mechanics provided. There is no limit to what your devious little heart can create. You’re not even limited to playing as the good guys, as you and your friends can assume the role of the creatures or killers yourselves! Regardless of which path you take, the events, decisions, and overall experience is decided by the players, that may include dice to help determine the outcome, such as sneaking past a monster on the prowl, stitching up an open wound of a fellow character, or seeing if an attempted attack is successful or not. The possibilities are nigh endless, with dice rolls sealing the fates of all involved, to tell an ever-branching tale that many will not soon forget.
